This retired music teacher, choir director, singer, brass & wood winds and USCG licensed captain makes his home AND music in Ketchikan since 1981. Rob has interests in eagle, scenic and wildlife photography. Currently Rob directs the Singing Christmas Tree @ Clover Pass Community Church, has played trombone, tuba and currently bari sax in the Kethcikan Community Concert Band, plays lead trombone in McPherson’s Windjammers Jazz Band, sings baritone in the Spirit Wind Barbershop Quartet and sings bass in the Ketchikan Community Choir.

Years ago Rob directed and performed with a 15 piece jazz band in Montana. Since living in Ketchikan Rob has performed with the Ketchikan Jazz Society Big Band, First City Players musicals and Jazz & Cabaret, Ketchikan Dixieland Band and recently flute with the Ketchikan Orchestra. Rob has instructed social dance classes in Ketchikan for over 20 years and recently performed a one-man-drama as “Matty”, a saxophone slinging, gangster type character based on the New Testament Bible teachings found in the book of Matthew.
