I’ve been an oil painter since I was 14 years old and have shown regionally and nationally. I am influenced by my environment and a skewed sense of humor. My approach is conceptual until I begin painting and the gesture takes control. I love mixing media w/oil, mixing it up and learning new tactile tactics. My latest project involves an illustrated manuscript about FIRE TREES, how the natives stored their fire. My latest cycle of paintings is titled HORNS, images inspired by 1960’s women’s magazines with an antler theme.
