Lallette grew up in a musical family. Her first performance was singing “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” in the backyard at age four. A few years later she tap danced for the PTA, and got her first starring role in seventh grade when the band teacher at the back of the cafeteria yelled, “I can hear her!” She received formal opera training at CSU Chico, where she was lucky enough to study with a former soloist from the San Francisco Opera Company.

In 1983 she landed in Ketchikan with her husband Don, and sons Craig and Bryan. In Ketchikan she has been heavily involved with the Community Chorus and First City Players, and has also performed with the Community Band and Ketchikan Theatre Ballet. Some of her notable Ketchikan roles have been Sister Amnesia in “Nunsense” & Nunsense II, ” Aunt Eller in “Oklahoma, ” and Mable in “Pirates of Penzance.” A role as Adele in “Die Fledermaus” was especially challenging, since she also directed, choreographed, conducted (rehearsals), stage managed and produced the show.

Lallette is the office manager at State Farm, teaches voice & piano, and enjoys playing with her grandchildren, riding her motorcycle, and chairing the Performing Arts Center committee.
