With any art form, it’s good to create your own techniques. That’s when your soul takes over. It’s what I LOVE about being an artist – the freedom to trust my soul.
I’ve been an artist all my life. My parents were creative and inspired me to pursue my love of the arts. They taught me to see beauty in nature and the people I encountered and to express what I saw and felt in a variety of mediums and styles.
My formal art education includes studies at Lower Columbia College, Orth Photo Studio, University of California, Corcoran School of Art, The Basket School, Pottery Northwest, Pratt Art Center, UAS-Ketchikan, and the Totem Heritage Center.
My work has been exhibited at art galleries and commercial and corporate facilities in Washington D.C., Princeton, N.J., San Francisco, California, Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Washington, Longview, Washington, Long Beach, Washington, Juneau, Alaska, and Ketchikan, Alaska.
I live on Pennock Island with my husband Michael and our dear cat Stellaluna.
